23.6.13 ~ Drawing of a Cross & Rose

Slightly different layout for this entry:)

I found this and I instantly wanted to draw it!
Isn't it beautiful!?

If you want to learn how to draw it, just keep scrolling!:)

Step 1:

Just start by drawing the outline of the cross, don't worry about leaving the space for the rose yet.

Step 2:
Add the detail of the cross and the rose vines!
Step 3:
Now for the tricky part.
Draw the rose.
I freehanded it, because I'm not great at copying roses from a computer screen.
Add the leaves aswell!

Step 4:
Now make all the outlines darker.
Add shading and detail to everything.

You've now completed the masterpiece!

Please feel free to comment with your completed drawing!

13.4.13 ~ Drawing of a Rose

13.4.13 ~

Drawing Number 3~

I know I have already done a drawing of a flower, but I love Roses!

This time I do have coloring pencils, so this one will, near enough, be exactly the same (fingers crossed!)

Step 1:

For this step, just draw the stem and the first few petals.

Step 2:

Now add the middle part of the flower!
Don't add any of the detail yet!

Step 3:

Now add the back petals!

Step 4:

Now add the detail the middle part.
There's a little wiggly bit on one of the petals, adds more detail.

Step 5:

Add the leaves on the stem!
Nearly there!!

Step 6:

Now add the color!

I drew around it with a black pen, very thinly. Just to make it stand out more!

Mine didn't turn out to be perfect. But I'm happy with it!
Don't forget to contact me, the link to my email address is on the first blog post.
Also don't forget to post your versions of this below!:)

8.4.13 ~ Drawing of a Flower

8.4.13

Drawing 2~

This picture is so lovely, and quite easy to draw.
Unfortunately mine won't be in color, so mine will be in plain pencil, until I can get some good coloring pencils.

Get your pencils and paper at the ready!...

Step 1:

Start with drawing from the inside of the flower, it may look a bit odd, but as you keep drawing it will look normal!

Step 2:

Now carry on to do the middle section which go around the first set of petals.
Starting to look a bit more like a normal flower now!

Step 3:

To complete the non-detailed flower, put the last set of petals around!

Step 4:

Now add the detail around the stamen, this brings the flower to life a bit more!

Step 5:

Now just do the outline of the leaves around it. They are either lily pads or GIANT cabbage leaves, but either way, puts more creativity into the drawing!

Step 6:

Now add detail, and shade in the leaf with pencil, or if you have a dark green, that's great!

Step 7:

Add shaded detail around the petal, and it's done!
Here's my finished piece!

Post yours below! I'd love to see them!

7.4.13 ~ Drawing of a Fairy

7.4.13

Drawing Number 1~

Beautiful isn't it?
Want to learn how to draw it?
Here we go...

Step 1:

Start with the wings.
Don't add the detail, wait until last to do that.
We need to make the whole drawing is to our version of perfection before we add the detail!

Step 2:

Now go on to doing the bottom half of the drawing, which is the skirt.
Like I said with the wings..NO DETAIL YET!!

The bit of the skirt, which is shorter than the rest of it, will look strange, but once you have done the rest of the drawing, it won't look so strange

Step 3:

Now add the body, shoulder and arm.
Now this does look weird! But the next step, will piece it together, and make it look non-headless!

Step 4:
Just add the hair for this step. Don't worry about the straggly bits until the next step. Just want to get the bigger bits done first!
Looks like this fairy needs to brush her hair!

Step 5:

We're getting closer to adding detail now!
Add the straggly bits and shade in the hair.

Step 6:

Now add the doodles around her wings.
Don't know what they are, but they seem to make the picture very creative!

Step 7:

For the final step.
Shade in where needed. Add Detail.
Here's my finished drawing of a Fairy.

I really hope my Step-By-Step guide to drawing a fairy helped!
How about post your outcome of this drawing below!

Thank you!
